Jamie grew up in Lenoir and never really left the town she loves. After graduating from Hibriten High School, she attended close-by Lenoir- Rhyne College and received a bachelor’s degree in Art Education. She taught high school art for sixteen years before making the switch to insurance.

Growing up with parents who owned a family business made her want to help Steven at Stewart & Associates. Jamie and Steven were married in 2013 and have two sons, Ty and Andy. Jamie is an active member at First Baptist Church of Lenoir and on the Board of Directors for The Wig Bank of Caldwell County. She loves watching her boys in sports, volunteering at their schools, and simply being their Mom.

Is whole life insurance better than term life?

It really comes down to which is better for YOU. Everyone has different needs at different stages of their life. Other factors including budget and marital status might influence your decision on which one to choose. One of our knowledgeable agents can help explain the difference between the coverage options and help you make an educated decision.

What factors affect my insurance premium?

Several factors can influence your insurance premium, including:
  • Type of Coverage: More comprehensive coverage may cost more.
  • Driving History (for auto insurance): Your driving record and past claims can affect rates.
  • Location: Insurance costs may vary based on where you live.
  • Property Value (for home insurance): The value of your home or property can influence premiums.
  • Age and Health (for life and health insurance): Your age and health conditions may impact your premium.

If you’re unsure how your premium is determined, reach out to us for a personalized review.

What is the difference between auto insurance and ATV insurance?

Auto insurance covers vehicles used on public roads, like cars and trucks, while ATV insurance is specifically designed for all-terrain vehicles, which are often used off-road. ATV insurance can cover accidents, theft, and liability related to off-road riding.
We offer both types of coverage and can help you find the right policy to meet your needs.

Yes! We offer a wide range of business insurance options, including:

  • Workers Compensation Insurance: Protects your employees in case of work-related injuries.
  • Insurance Bonds: Protects your business against specific types of risks.

We can help tailor a plan to meet the needs of your business, whether you’re a sole proprietor or managing a larger team.

What is Medicare Advantage and how does it differ from traditional Medicare?

Medicare Advantage Plans (also known as Part C) are an alternative to traditional Medicare (Parts A and B). These plans are offered by private insurance companies and often include additional benefits like vision, dental, and prescription drug coverage.
Traditional Medicare typically covers hospital care (Part A) and medical services (Part B), but it may leave gaps in coverage. Medicare Advantage provides a more comprehensive approach to healthcare needs.

If you're considering a Medicare Advantage plan, our agents can help you compare options to find the best coverage for your healthcare needs.

Can I adjust my coverage later?

Yes, you can adjust your coverage at any time. If your life circumstances change, such as buying a new home, getting a new car, or expanding your business, we recommend reviewing your insurance to ensure it still meets your needs. Our agents are always available to discuss any changes and make adjustments to your policy.
